Homemade Keto Fat Bombs!

If you eat a keto diet and haven’t tried fat bombs yet, you are missing out!

I finally bought coconut flakes at the grocery store, and naturally decided to experiment and make my own fat bombs! These fat bombs taste just like the Samoa Girl Scout cookies. You know, the ones with the caramel, covered with toasted coconut and chocolate drizzled on top? Those incredible carb-filled beauties.  Continue reading

7 Week Marathon Training Plan: Week 3

Week 2 of marathon training went fairly well. I was able to get all my key runs in, and only neglected one easy run (in favor of an impromptu rest day). I had to shift my running plan around slightly because of working late. My five mile tempo run at the end of last week was incredibly tiresome, and I had to do it on a treadmill because of location and timing. But, no excuses, I got it in and got it done. Continue reading

7 Week Marathon Training Plan: Week 1

Now that the Nation’s Triathlon is over (race report in the works), I can focus on training for the Marine Corps Marathon which I recently signed up for. My toes and I aren’t super familiar, and my hamstrings are tighter than Guantanamo Bay.  Continue reading

Squat Day!

Yesterday was a glorious Monday and I finally got in a solid leg workout again! My triathlon season is winding down, and I’m focusing on some more strength-building for the Spartan Race I plan to do in a month. A Spartan Race is a completely different beast from triathlons, and requires different, but complementary, fitness.  Continue reading

Keto: Daily Meal Plan

I’ve been on a Ketogenic diet for about a month now, and I’ve been loving it. I’m obsessed with cheese (as I mentioned in my previous post) and Keto is super cheese-friendly. No carbs, high in fats and protein, cheese makes my world go round. Thinking of making cheese my next #ManCrushMonday. It’s getting serious. Continue reading
